Nigel Shaw, MBA
President

Nigel works closely with the leadership team to realize the company's mission of providing software solutions, training and support that increase efficiency..

Nigel has more than 22 years of experience in the high-tech industry. Recognized for fifteen years as a leader in application architecture, Mr. Shaw has been the recipient of some $500,000 in research grants by the Federal Government and the National Research Council since 1989, the most recent being an NRC grant awarded in 2006 to develop software factory technologies.

Nigel studied computer science at the University of Waterloo, electrical engineering at the University of Ottawa, and earned his MBA at Queen’s University.

Ralph Shillington, MCSD, MCAD, MCT, MCP
Director, Client Solutions

Ralph assimilates and develops technologies from myriad sources into cohesive strategies and assists with disseminating those strategies within Exia and to Exia clients and associates.

A veteran IT leader and educator, Ralph brings 20 years of consulting, teaching and business experience to his role. He has broad experience with a wide variety of industry sectors including manufacturing, investment banking, human resources food products and forestry. Under his leadership, development teams create systems and applications that are relevant, competitive, have a rapid development life cycle, and reflect the needs of the application users.

Ralph's broad industry background affords him unique insights into the ability of IT to create competitive advantage and drive profitable growth. Ralph brings this to bear on client-centered projects, rapidly integrating technology, systems and people into comprehensive, actionable plans.

Greg Budarick, B.A.Sc.
Manager, Business Development

Greg formulates and executes the company's marketing and sales plans, and is responsible for all aspects of business development and customer relationships. As well, Greg contributes to operations management and human resource management and retention.

A highly successful operations and business management executive, Greg possesses superior strategic thinking ability and excellent business judgment. He is a strong leader with a proven track record of driving positive change and focusing teams to deliver results. His approach is collaborative and flexible. His deep skill set includes delivering top line revenue, managing business operations, developing new business, managing scarce resources, and product offer development.

Greg has 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Exia he was the President of ObjectSharp, a leading Toronto based consultancy firm. Previously he held Program Manager and Business Unit Manager positions with ABB and Elsag Baily respectively where he was responsible for national and global rollout and support of supply chain management and automation control systems.
